Bonsai quando posso

Idee, Bonsai e Prebonsai

Being rude (another time)

This Abies Koreana (Korean fir) is the plant that I've work on the first masterclass of the past year.
I consider it a kind of laboratory tree so I did some pretty hard works on it.
Even in the first day I cut it hard and leave some large parts of dry wood, to work on later.
Since autumn I start cutting back the branches to provide a better ramification.
Yesterday I work the dry wood, is the first time I do this kind of work, so I tried to emphasise the conicity of it.
This plant will suffer another shock with the repotting since the substate is so lame.
As you understand it's a very stressed tree, but after the repotting it will enjoy a couple of seasons of rest with only some pinches and small cuttings.
