Bonsai quando posso

Idee, Bonsai e Prebonsai

About the event

It 's the first time I have the chance to be part of the organization of an exhibition of bonsai, I consider it a privilege being able to see all the work and passion that creates this world so closely. If I had to choose one word to describe the whole event, I would say intense.
I will not explain word for word all the work connected but I can tell you maybe one of the best moments of the show... The arrival of the plants. Saturday morning we had a good time at the Palazzo Arese Borromeo and we began to receive the first exhibitors and the first clubs.
The moment was really full of energy, exhibitors prepared their stand while we welcomed the beautiful specimens for the exhibition .After the registration desk you there was the photography stage where the bonsaist gave their best to expose their plant (or suiseki). In these moments you could feel the passion, the interchange, the desire to know and to know that it is the soul of these events. All this surrounded by the arrival of beautiful plants.

Of course I had the chance to see with precision the plants and I have to say that there were some really beautiful bonsai. My favorites were certainly an actinidia arguta (a species of kiwi) whom stripped of its leaves was crying drops of sap giving the impression of a winter morning, then a very evocative group of Korean hornbeam. I also appreciated the wonderful contrast between the color of the leaves and the trunk of a gingko biloba in autumn dress. Or even the grandeur of the trunk of a maple tree, wearing a crown of leaves ranging from green to yellow to red.
The audience particularly enjoyed a forest of junipers large and incredibly finished.

The days were filled with various events such as the seminar on Suiseki master's Ezio Piovanelli, or the competition for talent, or even martial arts demonstrations and Japanese writing, up to the demonstration of the master Gaetano Settembrini, Mario Pavone and Gianni Cara who have worked for three large plants.

So two days have been really living all in one breath, in which I am immersed in this world of increasingly amazing and addictive.
The audience enjoyed both the atmosphere and the quality of the exhibition subheading says that there were about 5000 visitors in two days ... not bad!

As always, I don't have a closing for the post. I have thank and congratulate all of my "colleagues" of the club for this wonderful experience and hope that the next is even more beautiful !!!

A last greeting goes also to the Amatori bonsai and suiseki club Genova that despite the difficulties experienced by the city in recent days have decided to take part in the event.
